Respect for Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga is a phenomenon that hit the world when it was least expecting it. As we all know, popstars, especially female, have a characteristic of rising to the top in a flash and then hitting rock bottom even quicker. Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, Jessica Simpson are a few remnants of the past couple of decades. So one is bound to expect Lady Gaga to follow in the footsteps of her predecessors. However, I do not agree completely. I agree that anyone who rises is bound to fall - be it graciously like Madonna or with plenty of humiliation like Britney - and so will Gaga. Although I do not know in what manner the world shall witness her downfall, I know for sure that she is going to hold on to the top longer than most.
Unlike her predecessors, she is extremely bold. She has had the guts to shoot music videos that are light years away from the conventional, stereotype music videos which all the other female artists resort to. Her music videos are one of the wackiest that I have ever seen. Her outfits are yet more wacky. She does not seem to care about whether the outfit suits her look or the video. She is willing to try new stuff, make mistakes and hopefully learn from them. Her guts have only grown since her first music video i.e. Poker Face. Her videos also speak volumes about her attitude towards life. She is not a pretender unlike her predecessors. She knows that her rise is bound to end now or later and hence she seems to be enjoying it with a bang. She does not waste time pretending to the world that she is not a slut or that she is not a bisexual. If the world calls her a slut then so be it...Gaga does not seem to have time thinking about what others think about her because she is too engrossed in creating her own existence.
Although she is yet to reach the heights that Britney, whom I consider to be the queen of pop, achieved, she sure is close and well on her way to become the undisputed queen.
