RANDOM RAMBLINGS [ran-duhm ram-blings] n. 1 straying from one subject to another in a random, haphazard and aimless manner. 2 the most random blog on the internet.

Convergence of positive infinity and negative infinity.

I first heard about this concept in one of my maths coaching class in 11th or 12th standard from my lecturer. He told the class that he used to work in some industry and his skin came into direct contact with liquid nitrogen. (Liquid nitrogen is 77 K = -196 °C = -321 °F ) He told the class that it felt as if an extremely hot substance had touched his skin. Although I am skeptical about his story his idea seems very plausible. I tried putting my finger into boiling water(for a brief moment) once and it felt like touching ice. I agree that one cannot derive the said statement by correlating mathematics & human senses. But then we see similar examples of the same. A child when very young is extremely obstinate...so is an old person. Same goes for the young and old human's fragile body. Once again the human body comes into play here.

Lets consider an example not related to the human body. Let us assume the east direction as the positive x axis and west as the negative x axis. If I travel an infinite distance in the positive direction then I end up where I started. Same happens if I travel infinite distance to the negative direction. However this applies only to travelling on earth or some other spherical mass. Moreover the same cannot be said about the Z-axis.

A mathematical example of the same is the graph of ( tan x).

As you can see the graph approaches positive infinity and then returns from negative infinity.

There are many more examples like the tendency of the humans to wear less clothes in very early times and today as well (hehe) , approaching of the ice age due to global warming and of course the of life and death wherein a living being is in a state of nonexistence before being born and again goes into the state of being nonexistent after death.

There are way too many coincidences for us to ignore the possibility. If in fact the said possibility is the case then imagine the implications! We can then very easily say that:
1. the universe is spherical
2. traversing forward in time is the same as traversing back in time for time is also a dimension!
3. there is in fact no such thing as infinity!! And many more that I can not come up with right now.

I'll try to look for more proof for this though I feel finding enough mathematical proof is beyond the scope of my brain and abilities.

I found one more example:

U cant see anything in total absence of light and u cant see anything if the light is too bright either. However the absence of light is actually analogous to the quantity ZERO so I'm not sure if this applies. The only way by which I could make this fit is due to the fact that we can choose the origin of any axis. So what we think is zero here can be MADE INTO negative infinity.
