Potential Withdrawal Symptoms of Aspartame

I have been consuming one can of diet coke a day, 5 days a week for one to two months now. However, I was cut-off from it for the past 10 days owing to a break in my routine.
Strangely, I have been experiencing a migraine since the past 5 days. The migraine is not severe but it's been there since 5 days now. Sometimes somewhat severe and sometimes faintly discernible like right now while I am typing this post.
The correlation is too stark to attribute the migraine to anything but my sudden withdrawal from aspartame. I also experienced a brief bout of irritability at my home when I just wanted to be left alone. The migraine is even more astonishing owing to the fact that I fall sick extremely rarely. I have caught a cold or flu only once since the last 10 years or so. I have fallen sick twice in the last 6 years. I NEVER experience headaches or migraines - even during hangovers, sleepless nights, empty stomach for a duration of 10+ hours. Yet somehow, I have been inflicted by this migraine for 5 straight days now.
While I am no medical expert I cannot find any other reason for this migraine. The signs are clear - Aspartame comes with a price. While I have not suffered any side effects of its consumption I positively suffer from its withdrawal symptoms.
I did a research on the internet and my condition conforms to the ones attributed to aspartame withdrawal. The only question that I am pondering upon now is whether to quit Diet Coke/Pepsi or keep going on and off it in order to allow my body to develop resistance towards it.

12 days off Diet Coke/Pepsi now. The migraine has subsided. On a totally different topic, I must say that the drink proved very effective in helping me lose weight. But now, after I have cut myself off, I find myself constantly famished due to nothing "Zero Calorie" to eat/drink. A truly addictive product in all its respects.

I suspect the effect could also be due to caffeine. Not doing much research on that but I don't think caffeine could cause a 5 day long migraine in my case.
