I recently installed Windows 7. It installed all of my hardware drivers automatically. I went through all the upgrades and all of my hardware seemed to be installed without any problems. But what's this...the sound driver was installed properly yet there was no sound! I tried uninstalling the drivers, reinstalling through internet but to no results.
So I started looking for my motherboard drivers for Windows 7. But they were not available. Then I look through forums and I finally find the answer.
Go to the link given below and download the Vista drivers. Run the setup in Vista compatibility and viola!...sound galore!

I hope this will prevent users from wasting time looking for the right drivers unlike me.

windows 7 os 32 bits os installed .there is no sound and asus M2N-MX 64 bits motherboard driver is not supported by windows7 os. What is the solution for sound problem.

Why are you installing 64 bit drivers when your OS is 32bit? You can either try installing Windows 7 64 bit or try installing 32 bit drivers.
